Thomas Andres has been involved with MTS Australia since its inception and has led the establishment and growth of the business in the Australian market.

With more than 20 years of experience in Australia, Thomas has held senior leadership roles across civil and electrical contracting, as well as oil and gas maintenance and servicing. This diverse background gives him a deep understanding of the realities faced by clients operating in complex, live environments, where safety, programme certainty and cost control are non-negotiable.

Since launching MTS in Australia, Thomas has seen firsthand how DryVac suction excavation technology has reshaped the way excavation and material removal are approached. For him, DryVac is not simply a piece of equipment, but a smarter construction solution that directly addresses some of the industry’s most persistent challenges. By enabling precise, non-destructive excavation, DryVac reduces risk around existing services, improves safety outcomes, minimises environmental impact and supports more efficient construction methodologies.

Thomas works closely with clients to integrate DryVac into project planning and delivery, rather than treating it as a standalone intervention. This approach helps de-risk critical activities, reduce rework and unplanned downtime, and shorten overall project timelines. It is this practical impact that often leads project teams to reflect, “How could we have achieved this without DryVac?”

As a Chartered Accountant, Thomas brings a strong commercial lens to every engagement.
